Performance

The Porsche 928 was a mid-1970s sport car that cost just under $100,000. It had relatively minor changes, including an updated nose/tail and improvements to interior and engine. The 928 S and CS models reached 62 mph in 6.7 seconds and 5.6 seconds, respectively. GTS models reach speeds of 170mph and gain a "Competition Package." option in North America.

Design

The Porsche 911 GTS sports car features a powerful 5.4-litre V8 engine. It has a new range o exterior colours, equipment, and even a trick Blaupunkt Stereo. It comes standard with active air conditioning, cruise control, electric heated seating, and cruise control. Here is the 928 in closeup. It's one of the most iconic sports cars ever built.

Fuel economy

The Porsche 928 fuel economy will vary depending on the year of the car. The table below lists the MPG and fuel economy of the Porsche 928 in real world driving. It is calculated based on an average annual mileage of 15,000 miles with 55% of the driving being in the city and 45% on the highway. All models in the current fuel tracking program are included in the calculations. This allows you compare the Porsche 928's fuel efficiency to other vehicles of the same class.

Reliability

The Porsche 928's reliability is unmatched, especially in comparison to other sports cars. The car's engine is the most reliable part of the vehicle, so it is reasonable that it will last for a long time. The 928 has an automatic gearbox, but it still uses a manual transmission with torque tubes. Although manual transmissions lack sweet changes, the auto gearbox is identical to those in Mercedes-Benz cars.

Cost

While the Porsche 9118's cost has been steady for the past decade but is now on the rise, Porsche 928's prices are starting to go up. Prices can vary depending on condition and year. It is important to be aware of the range before you buy. A stunning example can cost up to PS45,000, while a 928 in excellent condition can go for as low as PS15,000 with some work. Even if you are unable to afford a well-restored classic, you can still get a project for just PS2500.

Reputation

The Porsche 928 is a grand tourer that defied Porsche convention. Its high performance makes it a serious driving tool. The 928's high price should not deter buyers. The maintenance required for a 928 is extensive. Don't buy one that has been neglected. Instead, look for one that is well-maintained. Despite its size, you will be satisfied with its performance.

FAQ

How can I fix my automobile as a hobby.

Why not make it a hobby if you're interested in cars? You could learn how to repair them, buy parts for them, sell them or just enjoy them. If you are looking for something more, it would be an excellent hobby.

But it is not easy to turn this into your full-time occupation. This requires dedication and hard work. It will also require a large amount of investment.

If you don't have any good reasons to be involved in cars, it may be better to just let it go.

What length is an automotive course?

An automotive course is three years long.

The first year is spent on theory, learning all about cars. The second year will be spent in practical training. Here you will learn how fix engines, drive and other mechanic jobs. The last year is spent at a local shop, where you will get practical experience with real-world problems.

To work as an automotive mechanic, do I need a degree? Can I study part time?

While a degree is not required, it does help. Most employers prefer candidates who have studied for a full degree rather than those who haven't. It shows that you've put the effort in and have done everything possible to succeed.

It doesn't mean that you can't work while you study. Some universities allow students to complete coursework over the summer holidays and finish their studies later in the year. Some universities allow students to take part-time classes throughout the year.

Is it worth learning to be a mechanic?

This question is dependent on your life goals. If you are looking to make money, then yes. But if meaning and purpose is what you seek, then no.

You don't need to be a mechanic if you don't know how. You won't become rich from it. It won't make your name famous. It is unlikely that you will be made famous.

You'd have to spend years learning how things work. Also, you would need to hire someone else to fix it if it broke down. That's why most people don't bother doing it at all. They find something better to do instead.

You can make a lot of money if you are looking to do well. But if you want to live a meaningful life, stay away from the mechanic's industry.
